Two pivotal experiences have fundamentally shaped who I am and how I build bridges across different worlds: my birth in Ta'if, in Saudi Arabia, and the early loss of my father. Growing up among Ta'if's rugged mountains taught me lessons no classroom could provide; their quiet resilience and enduring strength became part of my character, instilling the determination that now allows me to navigate seamlessly between business, finance, and the arts.
When I lost my father at the age of four, I was forced to mature quickly. My mother was my anchor, her strength and wisdom the bedrock upon which I built my character. She instilled in me two fundamental principles: respect for others and gratitude for life's blessings, values that have enabled me to forge meaningful relationships across diverse industries and creative disciplines.
My education and experience in the West subsequently expanded my perspective, teaching me to embrace innovation, independent thinking, and the courage to imagine the impossible. These two worlds have shaped how I see the future: boundless yet rooted in the foundation of tradition and lessons from our past. These formative experiences remain my compass, directing me as i seek opportunities to connect people and ideas across cultures.
Art and culture have been my constant companions for more than two decades, and horses too form part of my story. I believe that business and creativity share the same heartbeat: vision, patience, and the ability to see potential beyond risk.
My wife Sherin Shaker, daughter Eleanor, and son Joseph are my anchor, the reason I strive to build something meaningful every day. Fluent in Arabic and English, conversant in Spanish, and with a good understanding of Italian, I divide my time between London and Geneva, developing enduring relationships and projects that create meaningful impact.
